An Indian banker living in Dubai just became a millionaire after winning $1 million in the Dubai Duty Free lottery!
His name is Atul Rao. He bought his lucky ticket on his birthday while flying through Dubai International Airport. He was on his way to Bali for a friend’s wedding when he decided to try his luck again.
Atul has been buying lottery tickets since 2012—more than 10 years! He said he buys at least three tickets every time he travels: one for the bike draw, one for the car draw, and one for the millionaire draw.
When he got the phone call telling him he won, Atul thought it was a prank. He didn’t believe it until he checked the official Dubai Duty Free website.
After spending almost Dh50,000 on tickets over the years, his patience finally paid off. Now, he’s a real dollar millionaire!
